Due to change in circumstance a position has become available for a multi-skilled farm worker.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic person to work with an established team on the family farm; comprising of cattle, sheep and arable enterprises.  Playfair Farms, (six miles south of Kelso) covers three farms, with around 400 spring calving suckler cows, 1500 Cheviot ewes and about 300ha of combinable crop.

What the role includes:

• Working with the beef and sheep enterprises as need dictates

• Arable work as necessary

• Tractor and telescopic/loader work

• Maintenance of equipment

• Estate maintenance as required

What you will need:

• Eagerness to develop skills and gain experience of a diverse range of enterprises

• Have a keen eye for detail

• Interest in mechanics and have an interest in looking after equipment

• Availability to work weekends and evenings during busy periods

• Have a full clean driving licence

• An ability to work as part of a team and independently
