Borders Machinery Ring (BMR), the first Ring to be formed in the UK in February 1987 by 23 farmers and contractors. Currently, there are over 920 Full, Labour and Private members. Turnover is around £6 million. There are now 9 rings in Scotland and 8 in England and Wales.
BMR has moved premises. The BMR office is now within Leader House, Mill Road, Earlston, TD4 6DG.
Office Units on 1st Floor now available to rent. 5 rooms available. Sizes ranging from 112ft2 to 254ft2. All networked, High Speed Broadband, Double Glazed, Good Parking

Training in March-
We have a very full training calendar with rodent control, First Aid, forklift/telehandler, ATV running in March. There are spaces on courses and opportunities for other training with instructors pre-booked.
Aluminium Phosphide training-places available on 14th June at Cluny, Kirkcaldy.
Assessment will be organised in the Borders following training. Please call to book.

Certificate of Competence in Transport of Animals for short journeys-Farmers are now having to provide their Award number to renew their Transporter Authorisation with Animal Health. If you need to take this award, please get in touch. Tests can be organised at the office in Earlston, or within the BMR area for 10+ candidates
